University of Florida Gators Football Wide Receiver Arrested for Dating Violence

A University of Florida freshman and Gator football wide receiver, Brian Green Jr., 20, was arrested on Monday night and charged with simple battery (dating violence) for grabbing his partner and repeatedly poking her in the face.  

The arrest report states that at 6:50 pm the victim and Green were involved in a verbal altercation at the parking garage located at 16 NW 18th St. During the argument, Green grabbed her and poked her in the face repeatedly. 

Security officers working at the garage saw the altercation through cameras and reportedly had to separate Green from the victim. Video evidence was provided to the Gainesville Police Department.

Green was given no bond and released on recognizance i.e., under the condition that he appear before the court on all his scheduled hearing dates. He has elected to seek private counsel.
