On Friday, March 7, 2025, Deputy J. Gonzalez responded to a battery call at approximately 10:20pm near the 13000 block of W Newberry Rd. DS Gonzalez learned the suspect, 40-year-old Alan Squire, tried to gain access into the location by throwing an object and breaking glass. Squire then got into a physical altercation with the victim, and the victim sustained cuts on their body from the glass on the floor.
Squire left the scene, and deputies learned he later returned to the incident location on Saturday, March 8th, at approximately 7:31am, causing another disturbance. He fled the area in his car prior to law enforcement arrival, initiating a follow-up investigation.
Deputies located his vehicle on SW 137th Way around 8:50am, blocking the roadway. Subsequently, the vehicle had to be towed. During an inventory search, several boxes of ammunition were found totaling 208 rounds. It should be noted, Squire is a convicted felon, with two of his prison sentences being related to robbery.
Later in the day, deputies learned Squire was communicating with another victim and sent them a threatening message. This victim stated they were fearful and concerned for their safety as long as Squire was at large.
At 11:13am, deputies located Squire on the 14000 block of SW 8th Ave. Squire disobeyed lawful commands to stop and attempted to flee on a bicycle. He then fell off his bike and was detained. Squire was searched, and he was found to have three controlled substances on his person, none of which he had a prescription for.
Squire is charged with 208 counts of Possession of Ammunition by a Convicted Felon, Written Threats to Kill, Possession of a Controlled Substance without Prescription, Resisting Officers without Violence, and Battery.
