ACSO Deputies Fail to Warrant Victim’s Report
Brian David Bollmann, 48, was arrested on Monday and charged with domestic battery.
On Saturday, the victim told the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office (ACSO) that Bollmann struck her in the face and pushed her into furniture.
Deputy Robert Stafford reported that the responding deputies were “unable to establish probable cause as there was no visible physical evidence present.”
The identities of the responding deputies aren’t stated in the report. The wording of Bollmann’s arrest report indicates Stafford wasn’t responding on Saturday.
On Monday, Stafford responded to the incident location as Bollmann and his father were both reportedly threatening to kill the victim. Stafford saw the victim with apparent bruises on her face that were consistent with her report on Saturday.
Bollmann’s father wasn’t charged, despite the victim reporting that he threatened to kill her.
ACSO served Bollmann a restraining order on the victim’s behalf after booking him into jail.
Judge Wilson Bullard witnessed the victim’s injuries when she was filing the restraining order.
An independent witness submitted a sworn statement on Bollmann's statements and demeanor.
Bollmann has a $50,000 bond.
