Gil Gio Nasser De Los Reyes, 26, was arrested on March 27 and charged with cyberstalking and using a two-way communication device to commit a felony.

Alachua County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Carlton Litzkow responded to the victim’s residence after receiving calls about a burglary. The victim was not home at the time.

Litzkow found De Los Reyes standing on the victim’s doorstep. De Los Reyes reportedly stated he was “visiting a friend from school.”

Litzkow contacted the victim by phone, who advised she went to middle school with De Los Reyes 15 years ago. The victim stated she and De Los Reyes did not ever interact in school and that he contacted her out of nowhere.

De Los Reyes reportedly used different social media and messaging apps to contact the victim 20 times and her husband hundreds of times since the start of the year. De Los Reyes contacted the victim’s family members and made a social media account that combined his last name with her last name.

De Los Reyes reportedly sent the victim money unsolicitedly and sent her messages ranging from saying he “loved her” to threatening to kill her.

On March 21, the victim told De Los Reyes she’d contact the police if he didn’t stop contacting her.

De Los Reyes was additionally charged with violating his probation in a 2021 battery case.

The State Attorney’s Office filed a pretrial detention motion on De Los Reyes, which was granted by Judge David Kreider on April 1.
