On Saturday, protesters led by the Alachua County Republican Party faced off with local activist group Badass Feminists Gainesville at the reoccurring protest at the local Tesla dealership.

Badass Feminists Gainesville has protested the dealership multiple times, but this was the first time they experienced a counterprotest.

The “Tesla Takedown” protests have been spurring across the United States amid President Donald Trump and Elon Musk’s “Department of Governmental Efficiency (DOGE).”

Supporters of Musk say he wants to remove waste in the federal government, while opponents say he wants to cut social programs and hurt vulnerable Americans.

From what GnvInfo observed, the protest was peaceful on both sides, and there weren’t any physical altercations. However, there was a heated verbal exchange between one of the Musk supporters and a few protesters.
