Dustin Adam Zamzow, 38, was arrested last week on a warrant for child molestation against a victim between the ages of 12 and 16.

The sworn complaint states Zamzow and the victim agreed to get pizza from Hungry Howies and rode together in his truck. Zamzow reportedly “instructed [the victim] to sit in his lap of the truck so that she could drive.”

The sworn complaint states Zamzow molested the victim on the way to get the pizza and while driving back after picking up the food.

Zamzow reportedly “coached [the victim] on how to answer any questions if anyone was to ask anything about the trip.”

“Zamzow told [the victim] to not tell anyone about how he was touching her because he could go to jail,” states the sworn complaint.

On April 11, the State Attorney’s Office filed a pretrial detention motion on Zamzow. The motion states, “The state has been informed of a similar incident from New York when the defendant was 15 [years old], and the alleged victim was an 8 [year-old] cousin.”

On April 14, Judge William Davis denied the state’s motion and ordered Zamzow to be released on recognizance. Davis ordered that Zamzow not contact the victim or have unsupervised contact with minors.

Davis ordered that Zamzow be allowed to have contact with his biological children under supervision of an adult.

Davis ordered that Zamzow wear an electronic monitoring device.

Zamzow is being represented by private attorney Steven Frisco

Zamzow has a case management hearing scheduled for June 2.

In 2021, Zamzow was granted a withheld adjudication in a stalking case. He reportedly contacted the victim multiple times after she asked him not to.

Zamzow's 2021 sworn complaint includes an email he sent the victim where he references a "job opportunity" at the University of Florida (UF) physical plant. He mentions not wanting "trouble" from the UF Police Department.

In 2014, Zamzow was charged with grand theft for allegedly stealing a car from a dealership but the case was dropped.
