Alachua Man Arrested for Domestic Battery on Thanksgiving

David Charles Stillwell, 49, was arrested on Thanksgiving Day and charged with domestic battery. 

Stillwell and the victim were in an argument and the victim went into Stillwell’s truck to get away. Stillwell pulled the victim out of the truck by her hair, causing injuries to her knee. 

The attack was witnessed by two of Stillwell and the victim’s family members. They both were independently interviewed by the Alachua Police Department and they both said Stillwell dragged the victim. 

Stillwell was released on a $2,000 bond. He is not allowed to contact the victim or possess any weapons.
