Alachua Man Caught on Camera Attempting to Kick Woman
David Allen Carlisle, 44, was arrested Friday night and charged with domestic battery.
The victim told police Carlisle left their house 15 minutes after she and two family members who witnessed the incident got home from Universal.
The victim saw Carlisle had purchased something. When he returned, she went into Carlisle’s truck to see what he got.
The victim meant to turn on a flashlight but accidentally started playing a video when looking in the truck.
Carlisle ran toward the victim and reportedly attempted to kick her but missed. Carlisle grabbed the victim by the shoulders in an attempt to get her phone. Carlisle managed to get the victim’s phone and threw it.
The victim mentioned Carlisle was blatantly intoxicated during the incident.
Alachua County Sheriff’s Office (ACSO) Deputy William Baker reported the video showed Carlisle attempting to kick the victim and appearing to show him grabbing her.
Baker reported that Carlisle had slurred speech, was unsteady on his feet and smelled like alcohol.
Carlisle’s bond is set at $2,000.
Carlisle was charged with domestic battery last year for allegedly throwing things and choking the victim, but the case was dropped.
