Archer Man Arrested for Allegedly Jumping on Woman’s Back

Darious Montray Price, 34, was arrested on Monday and charged with domestic battery.

The victim told Alachua County Sheriff’s Office (ACSO) deputies that Price was attacking her in an attempt to get her to leave their shared residence. 

During the argument, Price reportedly noticed the victim holding their car keys. When the victim turned her back, Price jumped on her and snatched the car keys out of her hand. The victim had scratches on her hand consistent with her report. 

Price’s bond was set at $10,000, but he made a motion to reduce it on the grounds of not having enough money and being able to live at a different location from the victim if released. 

Price's bond motion will be heard by Judge Kristine Van Vorst on March 7.
