Archer Man Charged With Two Counts of Domestic Battery

Brandon Daniel Thompson, 33, was arrested on Sunday and charged with domestic battery and domestic battery by strangulation. 

On camera, Thompson aggressively shoved his girlfriend’s mother while screaming obscenities at his girlfriend. Thompson then choked his girlfriend and made demeaning and vindictive statements throughout the incident.  

Alachua County Sheriff’s Office (ACSO) Deputy Isaac Minck reported that Thompson admitted to the battery. 

Thompson wrote on his first appearance order that he’s worked at Publix for two weeks. 

Thompson has no bond pending a motion of pretrial detention by the State Attorney's Office.
