Michael Arthur Chase, 33, was arrested on Thursday and charged with dating violence.

The victim told police that Chase pushed her but that she was okay and uninjured.

Chase told Gainesville Police Department Officer Joshua Harmon that he was high and didn’t remember much about the incident.

Chase’s bond is set at $5,000.

Chase was arrested in August 2012 and charged with domestic battery, but the charges were dropped.

In 2018, Chase was found guilty and convicted of grooming a child using an online service in Columbia County.

Two years ago, Chase was found guilty and convicted of failing to register as a sexual offender.
