Rasad Lamar White, 34, was arrested on January 18 and charged with domestic battery with a prior conviction.

Alachua County Sheriff’s Office (ACSO) Deputy Brandon Dolan responded to the incident location after a 911 caller reported hearing arguing outside an apartment.

The caller reported hearing a female voice saying, “Get off me” and “You punched me” before seeing a woman being chased by a man outside.

Dolan made contact with the victim outside her apartment building when he arrived on the scene. The victim stated she and White were returning home from getting food when White yelled at her “for slamming the passenger door too hard.”

After a verbal argument, White reportedly slapped the victim in her face. The victim had visible injuries on her face.

The victim informed Dolan that she did not want emergency medical services (EMS) to transport her to the hospital or evaluate her.

White denied hitting the victim and claimed she “slapped him” and “threw the bag of food at him."

White was released after posting a $50,000 bond and has been ordered to not contact the victim and not possess any weapons or drugs.

White was convicted of domestic battery in 2020.
