On December 6, Amos Denzel Rushing, 29, was charged with domestic battery via sworn complaint.

The victim told police she and Rushing got into an altercation after Rushing took her purse. Rushing left bruises on the victim’s face.

A witness told police she saw Rushing swing at the victim and pull her to the ground by her hair. The witness stated the victim didn’t hit Rushing.

Two years ago, Rushing was arrested and charged with domestic battery and resisting an officer without violence. Rushing was found guilty and sentenced to one year of probation.

A warrant wasn’t issued for Rushing’s new charges, but he was arrested for violating his probation.

Rushing violated his probation by committing the new offenses, failing to pay court fees and not completing the Domestic Batterers Intervention Program.

Rushing is not eligible for bond right now.
