Convicted Domestic Batterer on Probation for Domestic Battery by Strangulation Arrested for Kidnapping, Aggravated Battery and Aggravated Assault with Deadly Weapon
Laquan Quante Boland, 28, was arrested last week and charged with kidnapping, aggravated battery and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
While parked in a driveway, Boland reportedly punched the victim and hit her with an ice-tea can. Boland took a knife out and pointed it at the victim, telling her to drive home. After Boland threatened to kill the victim, they switched seats, and Boland began driving.
Boland dropped the victim off on the side of the road and told her to wear a hoodie to cover the injuries he caused.
The victim had visible injuries consistent with her statements.
Boland was found guilty and convicted of domestic battery in June 2015.
Boland was granted a withheld adjudication on an aggravated battery charge in October 2015.
Boland was convicted of domestic battery by strangulation last year and was on probation during his arrest.
The State Attorney's Office made a motion of pretrial detention on Boland and it was granted by Judge David Kreider
