Convicted Voyeur Released from Jail One Month After Violating Probation

Donald Jermaine Daniels, 38, was released from jail on Tuesday after violating his probation conditions.
In July 2023, Daniels was found guilty of aggravated stalking and video voyeurism and sentenced to one year in prison followed by three years of probation.
On February 10, 2023, the victim told police that Daniels sent her photos and videos of herself in vulnerable states and attempted to access money from her bank account. Daniels sent the images and videos to one of the victim’s family members.
Daniels told police he “placed a camera inside of the victim’s residence but did so to protect his children.”
Daniels has a history of domestically abusing the victim.

Daniels violated his probation by smoking cannabis and not completing the Batterers Intervention Program (BIP). Daniels is also unemployed and hasn’t paid court costs.
Officer Ann Marie-Brown reports “While the subject has been on supervision for almost a year, he has remained unemployed the entire time, has not made a single payment toward his monetary obligations, and has been associating with people that are using and dispensing to him illegal drugs. The subject has not been diligently searching for a job, as evidenced by him not turning in his job search logs. This officer recommends that the subject's supervision is modified to the next year on community control with electronic monitoring and including special conditions of substance abuse evaluation and treatment to be completed on the first try, must be employed full time within 30 days of release from custody, complete BIP treatment by July 1, 2025, and drug testing twice monthly while on community control.”
Daniels reportedly told Brown he “has been going through a lot” and admitted to smoking cannabis.

Daniels was arrested on January 15 for his probation violations and entered a plea of admission.
On February 11, Judge David Kreider sentenced Daniels to 28 days in jail with 28 days time served for the time he’d spent since being arrested. Daniels probation was reinstated with no other ramifications.

Daniels has been permitted to perform community service in lieu of paying court costs.
