Ethan William Anglin, 22, was arrested earlier this month and charged with prowling, drug possession and two counts of indecent exposure.

On March 13 at approximately 8:22 p.m., Alachua County Sheriff’s Office (ACSO) Deputy Carlton Litzkow responded to Park Avenue Apartments. Anglin’s arrest report says ACSO got two calls about a “suspicious person following females around in the complex and even following them to their apartment doors.”

The first victim reported that she was unloading groceries when a suspect, later identified as Anglin, began watching her from a distance. Anglin reportedly approached the victim and exposed his buttocks to her. Anglin reportedly smiled at the victim before continuing to walk around the apartment complex.

The second victim reported that she was walking her dog when Anglin began following her. Anglin reportedly followed the victim to her door and exposed his buttocks to her while smiling.

A few minutes later, the second victim’s relative (witness) took their dog outside again. The witness reportedly observed Anglin staring at her across the parking lot. After making eye contact, Anglin began approaching the witness. The witness pointed her keys at Anglin in hopes he’d walk away, which he did.

Litzkow reported “Upon my arrival on the scene, I encountered Ethan walking…. I followed him up to the second story. I encountered Ethan and asked him if he stayed in the complex, to which he stated, ‘no’. I instructed Ethan to walk to the front of my patrol vehicle, where I read him his Miranda Warning via prepared text. Ethan was asked if he wished to speak with law enforcement post Miranda, and he stated, ‘no.’ During a search incident to the arrest of his person, I located an orange pill bottle with no label. Within the pill bottle was a total of (22) green circular pills imprinted with (0.5). I verified via Drugs.com that these pills are clonazepam, which is a schedule 4 controlled substance.”

Anglin’s bond was set at $70,000.

On March 16, Anglin’s private attorney, Michelle Slanker of Musca Law, made a motion to reduce Anglin’s bond.

The bond motion states that Anglin is employed at Dunkin Donuts and that his bond amount is “tantamount to no bond.”

Judge David Kreider granted the motion and ordered Anglin to be released on recognizance. Anglin has been ordered to not contact the victim and is required to wear an ankle monitor.
