“Everything That You Do in the Dark Will Come to Light” Gainesville Man Sentenced for Assault and Intimidation

On April 1, Michael Randolph Stephens, 49, was found guilty of resisting an officer without violence, assault and intimidation. He was sentenced to six months in jail with two months time served.
The arrest report obtained by GnvInfo states the victim and his four-year-old daughter were riding around their neighborhood in their jeep when Stephens approached in a threatening manner. Stephens made statements indicating he wanted to kidnap the victim’s daughter before attempting to take control of his jeep.
Randolph attempted to punch the victim but missed.
Randolph reportedly resisted arrest by tensing his body.
Alachua County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Carlton Litzkow reported that Randolph told him, “I will fuck you up…. Make sure you put your name on the paperwork. I won't take your head off, but you deserve to have your head taken off…. You are fixing to pay for what you've done; everything that you do in the dark will come to light.”
Randolph has four prior battery convictions in Alachua County.
Randolph will serve one year of probation after he is released from jail.
