Finances

Gainesville Public Information Services (GnvInfo) has much less funding than the average publication. It relies solely on reader contributions, with no ad revenue.

If you value the work on GnvInfo, please consider donating. Public records requests are costly, and these expenses have increased over the past year.

A larger and more consistent amount of funds would allow GnvInfo to hire reporters to cover a wider range of topics in Gainesville and Alachua County.

GnvInfo will continue to provide public information regardless of funding; however, the publication has not been able to grow due to a lack of financial resources.

GnvInfo has remained an online publication since it began in April 2023 and hasn’t had the resources to expand into print.

GnvInfo currently has one full-time staff member and a small group of part-time volunteers. If you're interested in volunteering—whether for investigative work, interviews, or event coverage—your help is welcome.

If you want to financially support GnvInfo, please click the Buy Me a Coffee link below or contact GnvInfo owner Jack Walden at jaw19497@gmail.com if you have any questions.
