Kevin Alexander Fearing, 33, was arrested Tuesday evening and charged with domestic battery.

Alachua County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Alfred Robertson reported that the victim told Fearing she didn’t want to have sex, and he punched her in the face twice.

The victim hit Fearing in self-defense and began grabbing her belongings.

Fearing reportedly tried to give the victim a hug after battering her.

The victim had injuries on her face consistent with being punched.

Fearing was released on a $2,000 bond. He’s been ordered to not contact the victim but has no restrictions regarding firearm ownership.

Robertson may want to reread his arrest reports to check for typographic errors in the future. Robertson wrote, “The defendant wanted to have sexual intercourse with the victim and the defendant did not.” Based on the arrest report, it appears Robertson meant to write, “The defendant wanted to have sexual intercourse with the victim, and the victim did not.”

Robertson mistakenly spelled the word “would” as “wold.”
