Gainesville Man Admits to Breaking Phone in Domestic Incident

Travis Reshard Gordon, 33, was arrested on Tuesday and charged with domestic battery and property damage.

Gordon and the victim were reportedly in a verbal altercation that turned physical. 

The victim told police she sat down when Gordon grabbed her and tried to pull her outside. Gordon allegedly hit the victim in the mouth when she pulled away.

Gordon went on to throw the victim’s phone, rendering it unusable.

Gainesville Police Department (GPD) Officer Brittany McKay reported that Gordon stated, “He did not understand his rights.” 

McKay reported Gordon “spontaneously admitted he did break the phone but not to touching the victim.

Gordon was released after posting a $55,000 bond. He’s been ordered to not contact the victim or possess any weapons.
