Gainesville Man Arrested at Reflections Apartments For Multiple Counts of Domestic Battery
Tyrin Michael Young, 29, was arrested on Saturday and charged with kidnapping, battery, domestic battery, and domestic battery by strangulation.
Young reportedly threw a wallet at the victim’s eye because he was afraid she was cheating.
When the victim went inside, Young “pursued her on foot, grabbed her left bicep, and forcefully dragged her back to his vehicle,” reported Alachua County Sheriff's Office (ACSO) Deputy Maddison Telle.
The victim had injuries to her collarbone and eye due to Young holding her down in his vehicle.
The victim would report another incident that occurred last month.
Young reportedly punched the victim in the face because she took a blanket from him. Young caused injuries to the victim’s neck due to choking her.
Young was arrested at his residence at the Reflections Apartments shortly after the victim reported his abuse.
After Young’s arrest, he refused to give any statements and asked for a lawyer.
Young has no criminal adjudications.
Young has no bond pending a pretrial detention motion by the State Attorney's Office.
