Oche Simon Ogaba was arrested on Wednesday and charged with obstruction of justice, battery and robbery.

As a school bus driver watched, Ogaba grabbed the victim’s phone and hit her in the face after she tried to call the police. University of Florida Police Department (UFPD) Officer Brian Smith doesn’t report the events leading up to the incident in his report. Smith arrested Ogaba a few hours after the incident.

Ogaba’s first appearance order lists his employment as Blue Sky (Care Support). Blue Sky is a program specializing in caring for adults with learning disabilities.

Ogama was released on recognizance a day after his arrest. He’s been ordered to not contact the victim, not possess weapons and wear an ankle monitor.
