Update: The case was dropped in September 2025, shortly after the court found Zamora-Vazquez was not properly mirandized and his admission could not be used as evidence.

Sheriff’s Office Deputy Did Not Read UF Vet Voyeur Miranda Rights Before Questioning
Gustavo Alejandro Zamora-Vazquez was granted an evidence suppression motion.

Gustavo Alejandro Zamora-Vazquez, 24, was arrested last week and charged with digital voyeurism. 

Zamora-Vazquez was reportedly caught trying to film inside of a woman’s apartment while she was changing. 

Alachua County Sheriff’s Office (ACSO) Deputy Ethan Miller reported that Zamora-Vazquez said “I’m going to be honest,” and admitted to recording the victim. 

Zamora-Vazquez told Miller he saw the victim in an “intimate moment” and thought it was “interesting.”
