Shedrick Lee Brown, 64, was arrested on Thursday and charged with robbery and aggravated battery against an elderly person.

Brown and the victim are neighbors, and the victim told police he was mad at her over an incident that occurred that morning.

The victim was riding her bike and saw Brown riding his bike behind her. The victim pulled off to the side to let Brown pass, and he pulled up next to her.

Brown reportedly stated, “Bitch, give me my bike,” and shoved the victim, causing her and her bike to fall over. Brown then postured as if he were about to punch the victim.

The victim didn’t have her phone, so she asked a car passing by to call 911. While she was getting help, Brown got on the victim’s bike and fled the scene.

It isn’t clear why Brown believed the victim’s bike belonged to him or why he wanted it since he already had a bike.

Brown has four prior battery convictions, all from the 90s and early 2000s.

Brown’s bond is set at $40,000.
