Gainesville Man Arrested for Battery After Texting Argument

Tio Alex Kimbrough, 41, was arrested early Monday morning and charged with battery. 

Kimbrough was supposed to be returning some of the victim’s stuff. 

Kimbrough reportedly argued with the victim over text before arriving at her location and striking her in the face. Kimbrough’s attack left visible bruises on the victim's face. 

Kimbrough didn’t talk to police after his arrest. 

Kimbrough’s bond is set at $5,920. 

In 2021, Kimbrough was arrested for burglary with assault or battery and property damage. He was found guilty for property damage but the assault charge was dropped. 

In 2015, Kimbrough was arrested for aggravated domestic battery and the charges were dropped.
