Gainesville Man Arrested for Biting Woman

Kawme Tyrek Walker, 34, was arrested on March 27 and charged with domestic battery.
Walker reportedly scratched and bit the victim after learning she was talking to another man using her daughter’s phone.
Gainesville Police Department Officer Joshua Harmon reported “I observed scratches on the victim’s face and neck that were bleeding. I also observed a bite mark on the victim’s left shoulder that was bleeding…. Post-Miranda, [Walker] advised that he did not touch the victim, and she bit him on the hand. [Walker] later recanted his previous statement and advised that he and the victim fought and he did bite [her]. [Walker] could not advise how the victim got the scratches on her face and neck. I observed dried blood on [Walker’s] thumb.”
Walker’s bond is set at $25,000.
In December 2022, Walker was charged with domestic battery against the same victim for allegedly yanking her hair in front of multiple witnesses. The charges were dropped the following month.
In 2012, Walker was facing a domestic battery charge, but it was dropped due to a witness not being located.
