Gainesville Man Arrested for Burglary and Battery

Samuel Corales, 36, was arrested on Monday and charged with larceny, burglary and aggravated battery.

The arrest report states Corales was purchasing alcohol from the victim when he became disruptive and started yelling, causing the victim to tell him to leave. Corales left the residence but came back and stole a bottle of brandy. 

The victim confronted Corales and he reportedly hit her in the head with the bottle and left the residence. 

The victim followed Corales outside but stopped after realizing the extent of her injuries. The victim had to seek medical treatment at a hospital. 

Corales has no bond pending a pretrial detention motion by the State Attorney’s Office.
