Ozel Alan Parker, 40, was arrested Sunday afternoon and charged with domestic battery and child cruelty.

Parker was reportedly in an argument with the minor victim when an adult victim got in between them. Parker picked up the adult victim by her neck, strangling her and moving her out of the way to get closer to the minor victim.

Parker grabbed the minor victim’s neck and choked her. She told police that she couldn’t breathe when Parker was choking her.

Parker has three prior battery convictions in 2005, 2007 and 2010, respectively.

Parker has no bond pending a pretrial detention motion by the State Attorney's Office to be heard by Judge James Colaw on Tuesday.

Parker has the longest pretrial detention motion ever viewed by GnvInfo with four exhibits and 25 pages.

The motion details a sworn complaint charge for battery on a law enforcement officer. The incident occurred October 11 but was filed November 4. As of this writing, the case hasn't been filed on the Alachua County Court records website.

The motion's length is due to several pages of conviction information for Parker's 2005 battery case and his 2009 probation violation.

Parker has an additional two charges of petty theft and criminal mischief in his 2005 case. He was sentenced to one year in prison with 65 days time served, followed by a year of probation.
