Damien Andrew Thorne, 22, was arrested last week and charged with stalking.

In December 2024, Throne was issued a trespass order from the victim’s apartment and ordered to not make contact with her.

On January 15, Thorne attempted to call the victim, and she did not respond.

Throne called the victim several times from March 7 to March 11, and the victim never responded.

On March 24, around 6 a.m., the victim reported that she found Thorne sitting in a vehicle and waiting for her at a bus stop. Throne reportedly exited his vehicle and engaged the victim in a verbal argument.

The victim told police that Throne was driving around her apartment complex and appeared to be waiting for her.

“Upon arrival at the [incident] location, I observed [Throne] sitting inside the victim’s apartment complex,” reported Gainesville Police Department Officer Taryn Roberts.

Thorne’s bond is set at $10,000.
