Gainesville Man Arrested for Domestic Battery

Austin Taylor McLendon, 31, was arrested on Wednesday and charged with domestic battery. 

The victim reported that McLendon hit her on the knee after she asked about someone he was cheating with.

The victim got up and exited the residence and McLendon followed and punched her in the back of the head, leaving a knot.

McLendon grabbed the victim in a hold so she grabbed a metal bar and hit him with it. McLendon got a hold of the bar and locked the victim out of the residence. 

The victim reported that McLendon gave her a black eye a two weeks prior and police weren't called. 

McLendon claimed the victim assaulted him and that he didn’t batter her. 

McLendon’s bond is set at $20,000.
