Gainesville Man Arrested for Domestic Battery by GPD Officer Previously Charged with Child Cruelty
Terrance Treyvon Johnson, 30, was arrested on Monday and charged with domestic battery and resisting an officer without violence.
The victim told police that Johnson pushed her, and she began hitting him in self-defense.
Johnson scratched the victim on her neck, face, and eye, leaving visible injuries.
Johnson fled the scene upon sight of police and was apprehended shortly after.
Johnson’s bond is set at $10,000.
Johnson was arrested by Gainesville Police Department (GPD) Officer Larry Prunty. Last year, while serving as a trainee, Prunty was placed on administrative leave by former Chief Lonnie Scott following charges of child abuse, which included reports that Prunty held a knife to a ten-year-old's neck. The charges were later dropped in January.
