Gainesville Man Arrested for Domestic Battery in High Springs

Joshua Cas Wilkes, 40, was arrested Sunday night and charged with domestic battery. 

The victim told police that Wilkes slung her to the ground and punched her in the face during an argument. Wilkes fled the scene on his bike.

The victim had physical injuries on her face. 

High Springs Police Department Officer Adam Joy reported, “The victim had a purple substance on her face also, that at the time, we didn’t know where it came from….There was a purple substance on the arrestee’s hands, consistent with the purple substance that was on the victim’s face.” 

Wilkes’ bond is set at $10,000.
