Gainesville Man Arrested For Exposing Sexual Organs at Jersey Mike’s
Cecil Lamar Jackson, 30, was arrested last week and charged with one count of giving false information to a police officer, two counts of lewd and lascivious exhibition and three counts of indecent exposure after flashing patrons at Jersey Mike’s (3720 NW 13th Street).
The victims included a woman and her two children, a Doordash driver and a Jersey Mike’s employee. Jackson touched himself in front of them in an indecent and lascivious manner.
The arrest report states that a Gainesville Police Department (GPD) officer “witnessed this entire incident from inside of the store. [The officer] witnessed the defendant expose himself and confirmed by sight that he was pulling his pants down, fully exposing his genitals to citizens.” This officer's name isn’t mentioned in the report.
Officer C. Leibrandt responded to Jersey Mike's and found Jackson sitting barely covered in front of the store.
The arrest report doesn't mention if the unnamed GPD officer did anything to physically stop Jackson from sexually assaulting multiple women and children. It only states that the officer observed Jackson's crime and broadcasted the details over the radio before Leibrandt arrived.
Jackson reportedly told Leibrandt that his name was “Cela Lama Jala.” Officers properly identified Jackson when he was booked into jail.
Jackson had a sworn complaint filed on him in July 2023 for lewd or lascivious conduct by a person over 18. The charges are still pending.
Jackson's bond is set at $580,000.
