Gainesville Man Arrested for Kicking Woman During Domestic Incident

Freddie Lee Edwards, 41, was arrested early Wednesday morning and charged with domestic battery. 

Edwards reportedly began arguing with the victim after looking through her phone and kicked her. 

Gainesville Police Department (GPD) Officer Joshua Harmon reported that the victim’s walking was altered because of the injury Edwards caused. 

Edwards reportedly admitted to kicking the victim but stated it was because he was trying to leave their hotel room. 

Edwards has the option of posting a $5,000 surety bond or paying a $500 cash bond.
