Gainesville Man Arrested for Pulling Kitchen Knives During Domestic Incident

Kelvin Sanchez Rosario, 47, was arrested Wednesday night and charged with domestic battery and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
A verbal altercation between Rosario and the victim reportedly turned physical when he shoved her.
The victim called the witness, stating Rosario had laid his hands on her.
The arrest report states the witness “arrived on the scene and witnessed [Rosario] shove the victim. [Rosario] fled into the kitchen and grabbed two kitchen knives. [Rosario] then began shouting angrily and held both knives over his head.”
The victim was reportedly ten feet away from Rosario when he made threats with the knives.
The witness told police “He believed he was the target, but [Rosario] was erratic that he was afraid [Rosario] would attack the victim.”
Rosario told police he was “upset because he saw the victim’s daughter’s boyfriend in the car with the victim.” Rosario said he did not hit the victim and that he grabbed the knives because the witness tried to fight him.
Rosario’s bond is set at $100,000.
