Gainesville Man Arrested for Rape at Stephen O’Connell Center

Brandon Lee Mulling, 31, was arrested two weeks ago and charged with sexual battery.
On February 3, around 3:00 a.m., Mulling picked up the victim after meeting her on Bumble. The victim told Mulling over text that she would only be comfortable with kissing and didn’t want to have sex. The victim told Mulling the same thing when he picked her up.
Mulling reportedly drove the victim to the Stephen O’Connell Center parking lot and raped her.
The University of Florida Police Department determined that Mulling's vehicle was on campus.
The State Attorney’s Office made a pretrial detention motion on Mulling, but it was denied by Judge Denise Ferrero. Ferrero set Mulling’s bond at $200,000 and ordered he wear an ankle monitor if released.
Mulling is currently pleading not guilty.
