Gainesville Man Arrested for Threatening Violence

Evan David Villamonte, 38, was arrested on Saturday evening and charged with simple assault for threatening violence.

Villamonte reportedly got in the victim’s face while yelling and said he was going to “lose his cool” and that he wanted to hit her. 

The incident was witnessed by another person in the house. 

Villamonte’s bond is set at $1,000.  

In 2018 Villamonte was arrested and charged with domestic battery by strangulation and false imprisonment, but the charges were dropped.
