Gainesville Man Arrested for Throwing Woman Into Wall

Bryon Reshard Mitchell, 41, was arrested on Friday and charged with simple battery. 

Mitchell and the victim were in a verbal argument that reportedly escalated when he slapped the victim. Mitchell’s arrest report states he wrapped his arms around the victim and threw her into the wall.

A witness told police she heard a loud bang from the other room when Mitchell threw the victim into the wall. 

Gainesville Police Department (GPD) Officer Kevin Dorcena reported there was a hole in the wall from where Mitchell threw the victim. 

The victim had physical injuries. 

Mitchell’s bond is set at $5,000.
