Chadrick Arsenio Hall, 34, was arrested on March 29 and charged with violating a domestic violence protection order and threatening a public servant.

Hall reportedly observed the victim and witness enter Aloha Liquor Store and decided to follow them inside despite a standing no-contact order with the victim. Hall engaged the victim and witness in a verbal altercation that was caught on surveillance video.

Hall is on supervised release for another offense that was not regarded in the arrest report. Hall’s conditions of release include not drinking alcohol; however, the witness observed him purchase a bottle of Don Julio Tequila.

Gainesville Police Department Officer Justin Snitselaar located Hall at the Havana Wine and Cigar Lounge. Snitselaar reported the following:

“Post Miranda, [Hall] advised he entered the location not knowing the victim was inside. Once inside, he saw the victim and knew he had a no-contact order with her. He stated he and the victim engaged in a verbal altercation and that he was not leaving until he made his purchase. This was untrue, as surveillance footage shows [Hall] clearly provoking the victim, throwing his hands into the air while further engaging with [her], and walking further into the location. Once leaving, [Hall] advised the victim told him she had a firearm.
While en route to [the jail], [Hall] made multiple threats to [myself], who is a sworn law enforcement officer with the Gainesville Police Department. [I] was in uniform with police insignia, driving a marked patrol vehicle. [Hall] advised it was his wedding night and would shoot [me] if he was not released, as well as put a ‘hit’ out on [me]. He also informed [me] that he was going to spit on [me], and if [I] would release him from handcuffs, he would fight. [Hall] continued to make verbal threats in an attempt to coerce [me] to release him. [Hall] stated he was going to locate and harm [me] with physical and gun-related violence during the entire drive. Once at [the jail], [Hall] began to verbally harass and threaten [Department of Jail] deputies.”

Hall’s bond is set at $20,000.
