Gainesville Man Arrested on Warrant for Domestic Battery and Property Damage

Bobby Edward Ross, 25, was arrested on Thursday on a warrant for property damage and two counts of domestic battery.

Ross was charged on January 6 via sworn complaint.

During an argument, Ross reportedly took the victim’s phone and exited her house. The victim followed Ross outside, repeatedly asking for her phone back. Ross refused and reportedly strangled the victim during the argument.

The victim told police that after Ross choked her, he slammed her to the ground and smashed her phone.

The victim had bruises across her body and dirt on her back from being shoved to the ground.

The victim told police that Ross has battered her on previous occasions and is in fear he will harm her further.

Ross’ bond is set at $87,500.
