Gainesville Man Beats Woman, Gets Confronted, Misses Punch, Falls on Ground, Pulls Gun
Chrishaune Latez Lee, 28, was arrested on Tuesday and charged with displaying a weapon while committing a felony, possessing a weapon as a convicted felon and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
At approximately 2:06 a.m., a good samaritan got involved after he saw Lee beating a woman and dragging her into his apartment.
Lee attempted to punch the man but missed and fell to the ground. Lee got up and pulled out a gun, causing the man to run away. Three witnesses and surveillance footage proved his account.
Gainesville Police Department Officer Brandon Mills reported that Lee admitted to grabbing the victim and attempting to drag her inside so “the neighborhood wouldn’t hear them argue.” Lee said the good samaritan pushed him down a flight of stairs and that he ran away after pulling out two phones and giving them to his brother.
Lee has nine felonies and his bond is set at $550,000.
