Gainesville Man Blames Neighbor for Domestic Incident

Doug Louis Dean, 56, was arrested last week and charged with domestic battery. 
 
Dean reportedly shoved the victim, and she began trying to leave. Dean grabbed the victim by her hair and shoved her out the door. 
 
A neighbor who witnessed the incident corroborated the victim’s account of events. The witness stated this wasn’t the first time Dean and the victim got into a physical altercation. 
 
Dean told police, “A verbal altercation occurred because of the witness,” but denied grabbing or shoving the victim. 

Dean was released on a $1,000 bond and has been ordered not to contact the victim or possess any drugs or alcohol.
