Gainesville Man Charged With Felony Battery

Damond Eugene Presley, 33, was arrested last week and charged with felony domestic battery. 

The victim was reportedly in a physical fight with Presley’s wife when he got in between them. The victim told police Presley punched her.

Gainesville Police Department (GPD) Officer Gabriel Villall reported that the victim had injuries consistent with being punched. 

The victim went to the hospital for treatment.

Villall reported that Presley admitted to punching the victim. 

Presley was released on a $5,000 bond.
