Gainesville Man Claims Victim Was “Making Up Story” Despite Visible Marks

Keenan Karl King, 33, was arrested on Tuesday and charged with domestic battery. 

King reportedly grabbed the victim’s hair, scratched her shoulder to the point of bleeding and took her phone. 

When police arrived, King was reportedly still in possession of the phone.  

King claimed the victim “made up the entire story” to get him arrested, despite the victim having visible marks. 

King’s bond is set at $5,000. 

King has an open case for drug possession, which is moving through Alachua County courts.
