Xavier DeVante Davis, 32, was found guilty and convicted of domestic battery by strangulation yesterday after pleading no contest on a plea deal.

Judge David Kreider sentenced Davis to six months in prison, but with 37 days of time served, meaning Davis will spend roughly five months in prison.

Davis was facing up to five years in prison before taking the plea deal.

Davis will not be on probation when he is released.

Davis choked the victim because he was mad about her hanging out with a male friend. Davis put the victim in fear of losing her life.
