Gainesville Man Released on Recognizance After Arm Twisting and Phone Throwing

Andre Mher Tufenkian, 30, was arrested on Friday and charged with domestic battery and obstructing justice.

Tufenkian reportedly got into an argument with the victim and he became aggressive, causing the victim to tell him to step outside. 

The victim told Tufenkian she’d call the police after her phone was charged. Tufenkian reportedly grabbed her and twisted her arm before grabbing her phone and throwing it. 

Judge Donna Keim allowed Tufenkian to be released on recognizance under the conditions he not contact the victim and maintain an alternate residence from her.

Tufenkian is seeking private counsel from laywer Nick Zissomopoulus.
