Gainesville Man Released on Recognizance after Arrest for Domestic Battery

Chuncey O’Neil Campbell, 32, was arrested on Monday and charged with domestic battery.

The arrest report states Campbell pushed the victim down while she was taking a shower.

The victim got up, and the altercation continued in the bedroom. A witness told police that Campbell slapped the victim four times before fleeing the scene.

Campbell told police the victim was “cheating” and stated, “Their interaction was all verbal until the victim pushed him.”

Campbell was released on recognizance under the order that he not contact the victim.
