Gainesville Man Tells on Himself in Domestic Incident
Joshua Alexander Vigil, 32, was arrested on Saturday and charged with domestic battery for slapping his partner in the face.
Gainesville Police Department Officer Craig Ferrell reported that Vigil spontaneously admitted to slapping the victim.
Vigil has an open case from 2017 for driving without a valid license, and it was included with his domestic battery charge on his first appearance order.
Vigil was given a $3,000 bond for the domestic battery charge and a $2,000 bond for the traffic charge.
Vigil posted the bond and was released. He’s been ordered not to contact the victim.
