On February 13, 2023, the High Springs Police Department responded to an armed robbery service call at CVS Drugstore - 19225 NW US HWY 441- High Springs, Florida.
An investigation revealed that an unknown subject entered the business, implying that he was armed with a firearm and demanded narcotics. Thereafter, the suspect took flight on foot and departed in a small gray compact vehicle.
During this period, Alachua and Clay Counties experienced several similar Drugstore robberies. In response, the affected agencies, including the Alachua Police Department, Alachua County Sheriff's Office, Gainesville Police Department, and Clay County Sheriff's Office, collaborated by contrasting evidence and intelligence to apprehend the suspect(s).
Through investigative means and working with the Florida Attorney General's Office, the High Springs Police Department secured an arrest warrant for Jaquil C. Williams, D.O.B., 09-20/1994, on the charge of Armed Robbery, F.S.S. 812.12 (2) (c),
Williams is currently in the Alachua County Jail, facing multiple criminal charges, including armed robbery and drug-related offenses levied by other law enforcement agencies.
