High Springs Man Arrested on Two Domestic Battery Counts

Michael Drew Hoch, 38, was arrested on Saturday and charged with two counts of domestic battery. 

High Springs Police Department (HSPD) Officer Austin Dampier arrived on the scene to find the female victim crying and saying Hoch was fighting the male victim. 

A witness told police Hoch became angry with the female victim and shoved her, prompting the male victim to come to her defense. The witness stated Hoch attempted to punch the male victim several times.

Hoch told HSPD he was “attacked” and was “defending himself.”

Hoch was released after posting a $5,000 bond. He’s been ordered to not contact the victims or possess any weapons.
